Velvet was founded in 2019 by Andrew Pignanelli and Alex Johnson out of a small house in Salt Lake City, Utah. As outsiders, they built Velvet by looking at the problems in the industry from an unbiased view and decided on a ground-up approach: starting with services for smaller funds first.
Now, Velvet has over 20 employees and commands a presence all across the globe with hundreds of clients in dozens of countries/states.
